Kellogg’s partnered with Zeal Creative and a specialist agency team to deliver a large-scale personalised packaging promotion across Europe, giving consumers the opportunity to create their own free personalised cereal box cover.

The 2021 campaign appeared on millions of packs across 18 European countries and 14 core Kellogg’s brands, with 15 different pack formats requiring personalisation. Consumers who purchased two promotional packs could enter unique on-pack codes via a localised website and customise their own cereal box cover with a photo, name, message and selection of fun facts.

Precision Proco was responsible for the end-to-end delivery of the campaign’s personalised print operation, including artwork rendering, order ingestion, print production and fulfilment for every claimed pack across participating European markets.

The project demanded a highly scalable and accurate workflow, managing a complex combination of variables including multiple languages, brands and pack size variations, alongside the moderation and validation of all customer-submitted imagery and text.

The result was a seamless, high-quality personalised packaging experience that brought a unique and engaging touch to breakfast tables across Europe.

Each day, Precision Proco ingested customer data feeds from promotional websites across Europe. Using a bespoke solution developed by our in-house technical team, every individual artwork file was automatically rendered in high resolution, combining customer-submitted data with the correct brand assets and packaging templates.

The generated artwork and associated order data were then seamlessly integrated into our personalised print-on-demand workflow. Orders were intelligently grouped by pack format and delivery destination before being produced on our digital presses and barcode tracked throughout the finishing process. Every personalised cover completed a final visual quality check prior to dispatch, with orders typically shipped within five working days.

To support full campaign visibility, our technical team also developed a suite of automated status feeds, live dashboards and reporting tools. These provided the client, agency partners and internal teams with real-time performance tracking and operational insight throughout the campaign lifecycle.
