What is print marketing?

Print marketing uses physical, printed materials to promote a product or service. This can include:

  • Leaflets
  • Brochures
  • Business Cards
  • Banners
  • Direct mail
  • Postcards
  • Magazines
  • Flyers
  • Posters
  • Catalogues

Unlike digital ads, print marketing is tangible and can engage customers emotionally in ways that are harder to achieve on screen.

Frequently Asked Questions

We’re glad you asked.

  • Print marketing refers to the broader strategy of using printed materials (direct mail, brochures, catalogues) to acquire or retain customers.
  • Print management is the service of overseeing the sourcing, production and delivery of a brand's print, used when a business needs an outsourced partner to handle print operations efficiently and consistently.
  • Print on demand is a production model where individual items are printed only when ordered, rather than in bulk in advance, reducing waste and enabling personalisation at scale.

Precision Proco offers all three as connected services.

Print marketing costs vary significantly depending on print run size, format, personalisation level, paper stock and finish, and whether the work includes data targeting, mailing and fulfilment as well as production. We can’t give you an estimate without knowing your scope. What we can say is that our prices are competitive compared to the current landscape.

Because Precision Proco works across data, design, production and fulfilment, pricing is scoped per project based on a brand's specific goals, volumes and target audience rather than from a fixed price list.

Yes. Every client has a primary point of contact for their account, plus a day-to-day manager who handles ongoing queries as they come up.

Data-driven print marketing uses customer and prospect data to decide who receives print, what they receive, and when, rather than sending the same generic piece to an entire mailing list.

Precision Proco's data-driven marketing service applies this approach specifically for e-commerce and consumer brands. The result is print marketing that behaves more like a targeted digital campaign in precision, while retaining the trust and tangibility advantages of physical print.

We accept high-resolution PDFs as standard. If a design has transparent elements (like a logo over a background image), we'll also need the layered source file so our production team can set it up correctly for print.

If you're not sure your files are print-ready, our team can check them before anything goes to production.

It depends on the product, design and order quantity, but the print methods we commonly use include digital printing, litho printing, DTF (direct to film), sublimation, and direct-to-substrate.

There’s a lot to choose from, and each has different strengths, so we'll recommend the right method for your job rather than asking you to specify it.

We work with leading, reputable UK and international shipping and courier partners, chosen for reliability and to keep delivery as sustainable as possible. We handle fulfilment from our own production sites, so we can manage storage, packing and shipping in-house to deliver a trusted service.
