International Women's Day 2021

On international women's day, meet a few of the Precision Proco team that make print different.

Kate Tuckett - Client Services Manager

What is your role and what does it involve?

I’m the Client Services Manager for Tech Division in Sheffield. I manage the automated & special projects department. So basically, all clients whose orders go through Oneflow are managed by the account managers in our department. I also manage any clients who don’t really sit in tech or the commercial division like BBC CiN & Thortful as well as special projects like the general election mailer.

How long have you worked in the print industry?

I've worked in the print service in a number of different roles for 30 years.

What's the best bit about working in print?

The creativity. Seeing an idea, designs or image on screen come to life is fantastic. It's great when you see your own designs being produced or a project that you & a client have worked on, helping & advising them through the process and then seeing the finished project is always a proud moment.

What's it like to work at Precision Proco?

It's a whirlwind sometimes working at Precision Proco, I can say there has never been a dull moment in the 3 years I've been here. The fact that PPG don't shy away from new technology & are always looking to improve is inspiring & you know you won't stagnate. The people I work with & the clients make it for me, it's a great team where I've found people to be connected, helpful & passionate in what they do. I'm also really lucky to have a manager who listens & is extremely supportive as well as pushing & challenging me when I need it so when things feel like they’re getting too much I know I have someone to turn to.

Kirsty Osborne - Compliance Manager (A.K.A QHSE Queen)

What is your role and what does it involve?

My role is Compliance Manager a.k.a QHSE Queen. My main responsibilities are to maintain and develop our quality, environmental, information security and H&S policies and procedures and ensure we uphold our legal and regulatory obligations within those areas. I support the sales team and purchasing teams with all due diligence information and manage our issue and improvement reporting procedure.

How long have you worked in the print industry?

11 long years - joking they have been wonderful!

What’s the best bit about working in print?

Print is cool, I love seeing all the different brands we work with and the marketing campaigns that leave our doors. Every day is interesting as you aren’t creating off the shelf products, it’s fast paced, technology is always evolving and the best bit for me is that when it comes to our impact on the environment it’s really low compared with other industries and pretty much everything we create is recyclable!

What’s it like to work at Precision Proco?

Rewarding! There is a lot of scope to add your own personality to your work and I have a lot of autonomy in my role which works really well with my working style. I have been given some amazing opportunities to work on exciting projects and genuinely feel valued and supported. The people are awesome and so hard working, it’s a great place to work.

The elated feeling you get after a tough but successful day, knowing you gave it your all.
